UNI was very impressive in the first half against North Carolina, the #14 ranked team in the country.

The 2nd half was completely different. UNI did not score their first basket until over 6 minutes elapsed, and North Carolina outscored UNI 34-6 in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half to turn the 6 point halftime deficit into a 22 point lead 69-47 in the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas.

UNI is now 1-3, and their only win was over D3 Loras College. They will have another tough game in the next round of the Battle 4 Atlantis against the loser of the Texas Tech-Villanova game.
Murray State, coming off the tough overtime loss to UNC-Wilmington in a game they should have won, lost again today to Appalachian State. They will finish the Fort Myers Tip-Off 0-2. Murray State is now 2-3, and 1-3 against D1 opponents.

The Redbirds scored the 1st point of the game and that was their last lead. In an 8:00 stretch they got outscored 17-4 and the game was basically over. They had no one in double figures and turned it over 17 times while having just 5 assists.Comment

SIU never trailed in this contest though it was close for about 15:00, SIU closed out the half on an 18-2 run and led 41-19 at the half. New Mexico State never got it under 20 in the 2nd half. Xavier Johnson led the Dogs with 18 points and 7 assists.Comment

ISU Blue also never trailed in their contest beating Pepperdine 90-82. ISU led by as much as 17 in the 2nd half but Pepperdine cut the lead to 82-78 with 2:17 left. The Sycamores made back to back 3's to seal the deal. Isaiah Swope led ISU with 21 points, Robbie Avila had 18 points and 8 boards and former Brave Jayson Kent had 16 points. Jason could be a candidate for most improved as he's increased his scoring by 8 points, averages 13 points a game, and leads the Sycamores in rebounds at 6.3 a game while shooting at a 63% clip from the field.Comment
