  • MVC Players of the Week

Not much mention of Bradley in this week's Weekly Notebook, considering:
BU currently has 2 NET Quadrant 1 wins, which is 2 more than all other 11 MVC teams have combined,
BU is 4-0 with the best SOS in the MVC so far
BU is ranked #18 SOS in all of D1
BU has the best Ken Pom ranking in the MVC
BU has the top RPI ranking in the MVC
Bradley is currently #5 in RPI in all of Division I.

    MVC Notebook- https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sit...pdate_N20a.pdf

Player of the Week- Isaiah Rivera, UIC
Newcomer of the Week- Isaiah Stafford, Valparaiso
Freshman of the Week- Kevin Overton, Drake

The MVC apparently is not counting 4-year transfers as "Newcomers" eligible for Newcomer of the Week, since Isaiah Rivera, the POW did not get awarded NOW. I seem to recall in past years that they did include transfers as eligible for NOW.

Or they just decided to spread the publicity?

Haha... sure, but it just didn't get spread very much toward Bradley.

I am joking a bit. I doubt the Bradley guys care if they are shorted on publicity by the MVC office, whose job it is to promote their best teams.
And I fully expect there will be some low points coming. It's a long season ahead. So let's enjoy it while we can. Go BU, beat Tulane!

I do agree though. The conference should do what it can to keep it's best teams in the spotlight.

Yep. And I am not saying Bradley players deserved the POW, NOW, or FOW awards. They didn't.
But that press release had only a short blurb about Bradley and it was only about the 17 threes in the Tarleton game.

MVC Weekly awards for week ending Nov. 27- https://new.express.adobe.com/webpage/FNLVfmZPi0awz/

Still no weekly awards to anyone connected to Bradley, but a couple nicer mentions of Bradley on page 2- https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sit...Update_N27.pdf
