The Drake-Oakland game started at 10 am in the Cayman Islands Classic.

Tucker DeVries has only 3 points on 1-5 shots from three points. Freshman Kevin Overton and portal transfer Atin Wright have 13 and 12 points, and they have been outrebounded 20-14. Darnell Brodie (2 points, 2 rebounds) missed their last game against D2 Southwestern Minnesota State, and has only played 10 minutes in this game. He is reported to be dealing with a leg injury.
I think if teams figure out how to shut down DeVries, Drake is very vulnerable. Oakland is 1-2 and was picked 6th in the Horizon League preseason poll. They lost an exhibition game to Walsh University, a small, private D2 school in Ohio. -
Oakland lead by 1 point, 64-63 with 7 minutes left in the game, but then Drake pulled ahead and held on to win 84-77

Northern Iowa at South Florida- UNI lead early, but USF went on an 18-0 run to take the lead midway in the 1st half, and never trailed again after that.

Preseason 1st team All-MVC pick Bowen Born had only 2 points. He was taken out of the game early in the 2nd half, and never returned. He had missed UNI's last game with a calf injury, but started this game and played 15 minutes in the first half. He was 1-6 from three.
UNI was 5-28 (17.9%) from the three point line.
