I would imagine losing 26 of your 1st 30 games as head coach would make a person a bit unhappy perhaps unstable

POB, that is a very unfair statement... she took over a program that was as empty as what Wardle had

I could be way off base, but this doesn't sound like an NCAA rules infraction or a player treatment issue to me. I could speculate on specifics, but my first guess is BU didn't condone something going on with her personally.

Yes, that was my first impression. This does not seem to be how NCAA/rules infraction issues are handled.
The only reason given was "This decision has been made in accordance with the university's commitment to upholding the values and standards expected of its staff."
But I would hope we can avoid speculating until more facts are known.

The Bradley women pull out a win this afternoon, beating Central Michigan 65-62- https://bradleybraves.com/sidearmstats/wbball/media

The Braves never trailed, but the game was close much of the way, including CMU cutting the BU lead to 1 point (63-62) with 39 seconds left. But the Braves held on with good defense and a couple free throws making the final score 65-62

Bradley assistant coach Armelia Horton gets the coaching win in the absence of Coach Popovec.
Their next game is Thursday at home against Loyola. Coach Horton was an assistant coach at Loyola prior to coming to Bradley in 2022. She was on the staff there for 6 years (2016-22).

A really great win for this team. Came out and won it for their coach.

Question: Coach Popovec is suspended for the non-conference games. Is she allowed to interact with the players? run practices? recruit?

How is that unfair? It’s the facts. I never said it was her fault. We will never know why she was suspended, but I’m sure she’s not happy with her team’s performance so who knows what transpired? We won’t. I’m speculating a reaction to losing that many games would cause uncharacteristic behavior. Like I said though, we will never know.

It will probably be another case like Eli Child's on the men's side.We never did hear the actual truth about that situation.

The release by the Athletic Department simply said: Bradley University women's basketball coach, Kate Popovec-Goss, is being suspended from her duties as head coach through the remainder of the non-conference season, starting with this Sunday's matchup against Central Michigan.

From that, I assume she cannot participate in coaching, either at games or practices, recruit, or any other of her "duties."
