Totally agree Jmm28.It sounds like da coach knows what the so called violation consists of.I was just wondering if this unfair sentence would cause Kate to just leave. After all,it's just her second year.

I don't see that happening. I have heard she signed either a 4 or 5 year contract when she was hired a year ago. And if she left on her own, she would become unemployed and would not get paid. Her husband would also almost certainly lose his job, too.
As bad as this situation seems, it will blow over, IMO.

Agree with you on the not resigning fault.

Disagree with you on the blow over part. I don’t think it’s going to just go away, unfortunately for BU in a trying time.

I hope I'm right. Remember the Wardle "scandal" at Green Bay that some said would stain BW's reputation forever.
And when Bradley refused to allow the PJ Star reporter into practices, and they threw a hissy fit and pulled every string to try to make it into a massive national scandal to embarrass Bradley out of spite.
There are career-killers like physical abuse, sexual scandals, and substance abuse (none of which apply here), but if a coach is successful like Wardle has been, most negative stuff fades away. I hope that is the case here with Coach Pop.

I would have liked to have seen Coach Pop get out in front of this with her own statement since the university refused to provide details, even a vague statement on her part. To me that would have been a better approach than allowing all of the public speculation.

I cannot see any way this doesn't kill recruiting.....sad situation by Bradley notvto address this openly and kill all the speculation and negativity. Hard to see how Coach overcomes this....

                  Is it possible that:
                  1) She's a better coach than Pop?
                  2) The team plays harder for her?
                  3) She replaces Pop as HC this year after suspension or after the season?

Anything may be possible. But if I had to take a guess, I'd say no, can't say, and no.

I'm assuming coach is back tomorrow for the game against ISU in Normal.

I've not seen an announcement, and the pregame article does not mention Coach Popovec's return- https://bradleybraves.com/news/2023/...ois-state.aspx

However, their last game at South Dakota on Dec. 20 was the 10th and final game of her suspension.
Also, I spoke with play-by-play man Ed Hammond earlier today, and he was expecting her to be back tomorrow coaching the team.
