    Ex-Bradley guard Zek Montgomery played 26 minutes, and had a great first game there. He had 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Zel was 7-10 from the field, 1-1 from three, and 4-5 on FTs.

    Ex-BU guard James "Pop" Weathers is now at Texas A&M-Commerce, a D1 school and a member of the Southland Conference. They lost Monday night to #15 ranked Texas A&M 78-46.- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401575509
    Pop Weathers played 20 minutes off the bench, more than any other non-starter. He was 0-3 overall and 0-3 from three. He had 1 rebound and 2 of his team's 9 assists.

    The unfortunate thing is that I feel like the Braves are lacking an assertive, big scoring wing. Zek really would have been a key part of this year's team.

      Agree. Still disappointed that he bolted as I think he had a very bright future at BU. Monday night I saw some instances of Leons and Hannah both being aggressive on the offensive end. Gonna need them both to continue to do that.

        I thought you would find this YouTube video where Zek is featured prominently in the discussion as well as his video highlights from Bradley. I did not know he was that good and I did a podcast with his mentor.

          For Bradley fans who want to see what is said about Zek, that discussion starts around 3:20 of the video and runs to about 6:30.
          Zek scored 20 points in Rhode Island's opening game against Central Connecticut. He's not going to average 20 ppg through the season, but he should have a good season and average double-digits. Good luck to URI and to Zek.

            Zek was turning into a stud and was possibly the best candidate (with his athleticism and shot variety) to make the NBA since Childs, and before him, POB.
