As a Brewers fan not surprised to see him leave and would never pay a manager 8million a year. He also struggled in the post season and is 1-9 in his last 10 games or close to it. Brewers offered him around 6 million a year. Guessing he didn't want to deal with the Brewers impending youth movement too

None of those targets are unrealistic. Yamamoto will be the hardest one to get, followed by Bellinger as the bigger of these moves.
Counsell never had the big budget players with the Brewers to do much. His teams always seemed to overperform and be great situationally and with fundamentals. Always at their best last in the season too, sound familiar Bradley fans? 8 million a year should be nothing for the Cubs and I’m happy to have him as a fan!

Firing Ross should have happened before this season. He was a terrible in game manager and some of his decisions cost the Cubs a chance to make the playoffs. Counsell is a great hire. The Brewers front office really hamstrung him the last few years. At what the Cubs are paying him I don’t think that will be a problem.
