The Bradley Women's Golf team did something they haven't done in over 6 years, win a golf tournament! The Redbird Invitational took place at the D.A. Weibring Golf Course on the 10th and the 11th and they had to shoot a program best ever score of 865 to win it as ISU Red finished 1 shot back. Senior Grace Aromando led the way as she won her first Division 1 tournament by 4 shots shooting a school record 16 under 200 with rounds of 67, 66. 66. Grace broke the school record by 12 shots. Everyone contributed at least 1 round's score with Freshman Jillian Cosier shooting 73, 73, 71 for a BU Freshman best ever score of 217. She finished in 7th at +1. Other team scores were Freshman Maria Perakis who shot 78, 70, 75 for a +7 223 to finish in 22nd, Junior Mara Flaherty who shot 81, 77, 75 for a +17 233 to finish in 61st and Freshman Kathryn McNeese who shot 73, 82, 80 for a +19 235 to finish in 67th. Sophnore Allison Pacocha from Eureka HS competed as an individual and finished in 9th as she had rounds of 72, 73 and 73 for a score of +2 218. Their next tournament will take place on October 2nd and 3rd in Manhatten, Kansas at the Kansas State Invitational. Since the program began in 1989 this was their 19th tournament win! CONGRATS!
