Interesting update to the Antonio Reeves story. He played at Illinois State for 3 seasons, and became one of the top stars of the MVC. His junior season (2021-22) he averaged 20.1 ppg and shot 39% from three. He entered the transfer portal a year ago, and signed with Kentucky, where he was a part-time starter, and one of their top players, averaging 14.4 ppg, and shooting 40% from three.

At the end of this past season, Reeves put his name into the 2023 NBA Draft. Last week, Reeves withdrew, and is now seeking to return to college for his final year of eligibility (Covid year). But it has gotten a bit strange. For some reason, he apparently is not planning on returning to Kentucky. Maybe he is looking for more playing time, or perhaps he wants to sign with a better team, as Kentucky will be in a rebuilding year. But since he already transferred once, he would probably not be eligible immediately, and he does not appear to qualify for a waiver.
He played 4 years of college, 3 at ISU and one at Kentucky, so if he graduated, he could transfer as a grad-transfer. But he does not have enough credits to graduate, and qualify for the grad-transfer option.
A Michigan Wolverines fan site is reporting that he has enrolled at Illinois State for summer classes in an attempt to get the necessary credits to graduate, after which he will enter the portal as a grad-transfer, which will allow him to transfer and be immediately eligible.
If he can become eligible, he apparently is not interested in playing for ISU, and it's rumored that Michigan is very interested. Other schools mentioned are Indiana, Memphis, Oklahoma State, and others.
