John Higgins has been hired as Coordinator of Officials for 6 leagues out West. I know a lot of people are glad to see him retire but he was one of the top working officials in the Country. First time I saw him work a game at BU I knew he would have a very successful career and I would say 9 final fours would define that. I also don't think there is a Kentucky fan in the Country that isn't happy to see him retire.

I always liked him as far as being impartial.

Pretty Boy Higgins was good but I always hated him doing BU games because it seemed like he always had something against us. It was probably more me then him though.

I got that impression earlier in his career, maybe 10-15 years ago, but in more recent years, I thought he was much more fair and balanced. I always wondered whether, since Peoria isn't the easiest city to get to, maybe he was just grumpy and biased against P-town.

You could be correct. I always felt that we had 2 strikes against us when he did a game. Often wondered if it could have been a certain coach several years ago. LOL
