Glasser was incompetent and so amazingly in over her head . By the time she figured out she was miscast in the job …she aggressively tried to hide her insecurities and cover up complaints and failures. She was desperate to be thought of as a success or a leader. BU hired her without sufficient diligence but with her former colleagues sending letters to BU leaders predicting her poor performance, her patters of lashing out …and the incompetence she would be demonstrating. Those warnings were ignored.

JG made no secret about her courting the PJS for personal positive coverage and later leaking stories to her favorite sports reporters that were negative about coaches etc. Dangerously insecure and unprofessional.

As the pressure mounted the erratic and bizarre behavior increased by JG….she was desperate to be perceived as a success and wanted to be the most famous celebrity in Peoria. She was not attending to running the university and was fighting with the leadership team over the smallest things .

Her true downfall began when instead of answering board questions she began to take offense to the board actually performing governance functions and oversight. What began with a few true expert board members who called out financial oddities, odd un- approved actions by JG and a few others which only raised more concerns ….was followed by the first of two efforts by Glasser to attack and defame key board members.

The first wave was a bumbling effort by JG and was met with a precision response by one board member that proceeded to expose Glassers attacks and unauthorized actions to the rest of the Board. Then several board members immediately resigned in a noisy vote of no confidence and to try and high lite the risky position Glasser was putting the university in.

The second wave was Glassers attempt to again attack a board leader. Again she ran into complete professional board member who was a large supporter of the university. That board member had followed closely what the earlier board members had exposed before resigning. He responded to her attacks by exposing her further ..suggesting she needed further instruction and mentoring…..and when she protested……the board member resigned and took his donations with him. Glasser was fatally wounded…mostly self inflicted …and on her way out.

And that’s just scratching the surface ….

Bravesfanchicago knows what he's talking about. He was there.
      Some old posts-
Some of these events were reported here on Bradleyfans.com back in 2015, but most were ignored by local media.

It’s interesting to me how the good news for 2 former great players, Zach and Boogie, has morphed into the discussion of JG’s reign. There are a lot of fans that have shared their knowledge, thoughts, and feelings about her. Obviously, there still is a lot of residual pain for the fans and damage to Bradley University. My hope is that there are enough supporters of Bradley basketball and the university that will do their best give their assistance.

The fact that we’re still taking about JG is a testament to just how much of a cancer she was. I’m not a booster and have no insight on what happened behind closed doors, I just saw the quick work she made of destroying our basketball program while ostracizing so many of the people who helped make BU basketball great. Locking Jim Les off campus was pretty much the last straw that proved her to be a petty and vindictive person.
The one good thing that came from her was that she ran the program into the ground so far that the rebirth of the program was that much sweeter. Can’t say enough good things about Chris Reynolds and Brian Wardle for bringing us back to prominence, though the job is never done.
Maybe Les can come back to the coaching staff someday to make the healing complete, right? At the very least, it was great having him back on campus and I love the way BW has embraced him and his legacy here.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Corey Hawkins- he was set to transfer to Bradley, but instead went to UC Davis with Coach Les, and ended up with a terrific career. He was an Honorable Mention AP All-American his senior year, the Big West Player of the Year, the Big West scoring champion (20.9 ppg), and he lead the nation in 3-point percentage (48.8%). He would have been a star in the MVC, and a POY candidate.

Lawrence Alexander- few people know that Peoria Manual guard Lawrence Alexander was planning to commit and sign with Bradley in the spring of 2011, but when Jim Les was fired, he signed with North Dakota State instead in late April of 2011. It was the only other D1 offer he had. He had a terrific career there, averaging 18.9 ppg his senior year (2014-15), and being voted Summit League Player of the Year in 2015.

Bradley also had a 2010 commitment from Fabyon Harris who later went on to become a juco star, then star at Texas A&M - but because of a single bad headline from when the kid was 17, the Queen vetoed it.
              12 ppg & 45% from 3-pt at Texas A&M - https://12thman.com/documents/2015/1...ts.pdf?id=2606

What's also interesting is that after Harris finished juco and was being recruited again, JL expressed interest again,
only to have it all vetoed a 2nd time. In all she vetoed multiple players he could have had success with because she wanted him to fail. She even insisted on bringing in one recruit of her own that Jim did not want. Do a search for Andrew Davis.
