Reminder- tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 10, is the first official fan event of the 2023-24 season, the Itoo Hall Spaghetti Supper. Tickets are still available.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner is served at 6:00 p.m.
The Voice of the Braves, Dave Snell, will lead a short program at 7:00 p.m., featuring Brian Wardle and the men's basketball program plus Kate Popovec-Goss and the women's basketball program.

Tickets in advance are $25, $20 for Braves Club members and $15 for youth. Tickets can be purchased in advance here, by visiting the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office or via phone at (309) 677-2625 – the ticket office is open Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dependent upon advance sales, there may be a limited number of tickets available at the door at the Itoo Hall on Oct. 10 for $30 adults, $20 youth.

Today, the MVC released the MVC games that will be on the ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN+)-

Note that there will be additional regular-season games produced by MVC institutions that will be delivered through "The Valley on ESPN" -- the league’s co-branded digital network with ESPN available through the ESPN App. And the first 2 rounds of the MVC Tournament on Thursday, March 7 and Friday, March 8 will also be carried by ESPN+.

Also note that this is the final year of the 10-year agreement with ESPN to carry the MVC games. It is unknow what changes will take place for next season.

So who is the closed scrimmage against and where?

It will be against Missouri at a neutral location in St. Louis.
Should be a good test for the Braves.

Bradley played at Missouri Dec. 22, 2020, and despite playing poorly, Bradley nearly won.
Bradley shot 22% in the first half, 36.5% for the game, and just 11% (2-18 ) from three, but lead 53-51 until the final seconds when Missouri rebounded a missed front end of a 1 and 1 by Bradley, and Jeremiah Tilmon made a basket and free throw inside the last second of the game to win it.

I'm not sure why, but this is the most worrisome thing I've read on the board all offseason. As someone who will never be able to attend more than a couple games a season in person due to distance, I've come to count on having those ESPN+ broadcasts available twice a week for years. I hope there will be a new agreement signed or some alternative because not having an easy way to watch games would really be detrimental to a lot of fans, including me, who watch every game.
