Akron will host Bradley in a non-conference game on December 5th, the second leg of a home-and-home, per records obtained by @TheD1Docket.My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

UAB finished last season with a NET of 39. They were 29-10 overall, and 10-6 in the CUSA, finishing 3rd behind Florida Atlantic and North Texas. They lost in the CUSA tournament championship game to Florida Atlantic. They went to the NIT, won 4 straight games, then lost the championship to fellow CUSA conference member North Texas.
In 2023-24, they are now new members of the American Athletic Conference. Leading scorer Jordan "Jelly" Walker (22.3 ppg) is gone. They return 2nd leading scorer Eric Gaines, but lost the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th leading scorers, so they are rebuilding a bit. One of their new incoming players is a juco kid Bradley recruited, Yaxel Lendeborg.

They also added a transfer from North Carolina, 6'10" Will Shaver.

I'm sure Coach Wardle will have the Braves ready to compete and, hopefully, win to serve notice Bradley is out to defend its Valley title and keep climbing the mountain.
Here is UAB's incoming recruiting class, minus Lendeborg-

As previously announced, the 4 teams in the SoCal Challenge Surf Division are Bradley, Cal, Tulane, and UTEP.
https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...tep#post511372
College basketball blogger Rocco Miller tweeted the 4 teams in the Sand Division reportedly will be Cal State Bakersfield, Austin Peay, Sacramento State, and Tarleton State. He initially tweeted that Bradley would host Austin Peay for a game in Peoria, but deleted that and then tweeted that Bradley's home game opponent would be Tarleton State, instead.
However, the SoCal Challenge website still lists the Sand Division members as "Coming Soon", and no announcement from the tournament organizers exists anywhere.
The Sand Division are the 4 lower-level teams that will play road games on the campus sites of the Surf Division teams, and they will also compete in San Juan Capistrano Nov. 20 & 22 in a separate division
And as noted above, if that lineup remains the same, Bradley reportedly will host Tarleton State, date to be announced.
