  • Ville leaving

Coach Wardle has met with the players this morning, after they had all returned from spring break.
As previously reported, Rienk Mast is in the transfer portal with the intent to transfer or return to the Netherlands and play pro.
Malevy Leons is considering the transfer portal.
Ville Tahvanainen is not going to return for his extra season of eligibility. That closes his Bradley career with 877 points and 179 career three pointers (36.3%).
Have not heard of anyone else leaving at this time.

    Good luck Ville and thanks!

I'd be pretty upset if Leons went to the transfer portal after saying he was coming back. I just kinda assumed Ville and Mast were gone. I thank them for what they've done at Bradley. I just hope Leons doesn't go back on his word

This all makes me wonder if Wardle may be leaving as well.

So far, everything that's happened has been reported here first. So the sources must be good.
But for what it's worth, not hearing anything about BW leaving.... So far.

Where is this coming from? Why say you’re coming back if you’re not sure?

Sure, I guess I just don’t understand why you would say that you’re staying a month ago then. Was he that surprised about the potential money available out there in the last month?

The only thing constant is change, if we're going to continue to be fans we may as well get used to it. It's only fair to the players, no regular student on an academic scholarship would be stopped going to another school. Coaches had been leaving teams for more money forever.

Yes but one thing different with a coach leaving is there is normally a buyout.

Thanks Ville! Was a pleasure watching you play on the Hilltop. Your leadership and encouragement were apparent this year and we will miss seeing you on the court. Best of luck to you in the future young man!
