  • North Carolina DECLINES NIT Bid - Bradley in 1982 Chose to Play and Won the NIT

Did anyone else catch that North Carolina DECLINED a NIT Bid?
For a team that played in last years NCAA final and was chosen at the beginning of the 2022-23 season as the
preseason #1 - they have really fallen. It is disturbing that North Carolina's attitude is "a Bid to the Dance" or "nothing".

I liked Bradley's 1982 attitude. They to were left out of the NCAA - went and played the NIT and won the NIT.
And I remember a sign seen on TV after Bradley defeated Purdue for the 1982 NIT Championship that read
"Hey NCAA How About a Bid Now?"

I did see this. Seems there is a lot of roster drama on the UNC team. It was rumored most of the upper classmen didn't want to play in the NIT. I expect quite a few transfers off that roster going forward.

Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

Interesting - thank you Stryker for sharing. It will be interesting if quite a few transfers do indeed occur.
