The more power conferences lose these games the more the power conferences do to try and keep them out of the tournament. Should be the opposite and earn respect but they want that money more than they do a competitive tournament.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

#16 seed FDU is now 2-0 in the NCAA Tournament. They beat Texas Southern Wednesday in the Dayton First Four to advance to Columbus. And tonight they beat #1 seed Purdue.
Ironically, FDU is not the best team in the Northeast Conference, and did not win their conference tournament. They probably didn't deserve to be in the NCAA Tournament.
They lost the Northeast Conference regular season (Merrimack won the NEC conference by 2 games over FDU). And they lost the NEC Tournament to Merrimack 66-67.
However, they got the NEC automatic bid because Merrimack is still in the final year of their transition to Division I, and not eligible for the postseason NCAA Tournament.

Yep definitely better than any Big Ten team (just don’t look at what happened at Wisconsin).
In all seriousness though, that’s what was so frustrating about getting blown out so often against the best teams we played this year is we shouldn’t be that much worse than them. Next year hopefully this year’s experience will change that.
Big Ten continues to be overrated though, top seed losing to a team that under normal circumstances wouldn’t even be in the tournament. You think the committee and pundits would have learned after last year’s Big Ten performance.
