Metamora in the IHSA Class 3A Final Four

Congratulations to Metamora. They won the Ottawa Supersectional game tonight (Mon. 3/3) over Aurora Marmion Academy 60-48 to advance to the IHSA State Class 3A semifinal round on Friday. They will play Friday at 11:45 am at the State Farm Center in Champaign against East St. Louis, which also won tonight in the Springfield 3A Supersectional, beating defending state champion Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin 59-56 in a double-overtime thriller.
The other two Supersectional winners are Chicago Simeon HS and Chicago St. Ignatius College Prep. They will play Friday at 10:00 am.

Interesting that if SHG had won, the same exact four teams would have played in the 3A state semis this year.
