It’s a hard way to end the season. However, we had a good year and came up a little short. Winning the conference enables us to pull up the boot straps and have a good showing in the NIT. We had a very good season. One we haven’t had in 27 years.Comment

Disappointing day within a great season. Winning a Valley regular season championship was beyond my realistic expectations! Let’s see what postseason opportunity presents itself this year that the guys can sink their teeth into.

I'm not sure it works that way Big Mike. I think home court is decided based solely on seeding, not popularity or attendance potential. I think the EIEIO Tournaments use that criteria.Originally posted by Big Mike View Post

Just read Wardles press conference in the Journal Star. Good read. Gave credit where it was due. Admitted our shortcomings. Pointed out the difference in experience/age which was huge. Looking forward to post season tournament play. Sure it would be nice if it was the NCAA and not the NIT, but even getting through a couple rounds of the NIT will go along way with getting our program back to what it used to be.Comment
