GO BRADLEY
Drake is the better team. I think that is pretty apparent. I know we won with our best home crowd in a decade+, but on a neutral court I think Drake wins more often that not. When Rienk disappeared we went back to how we were early in the year with no go to guy. Deen tries to be, but he is not. I couldn't believe how sloppy we played on defense. We flew by what seemed like every ball fake instead of staying on our feet.
Overall, this year had some ups and downs, but was a good next step for the program. We still are not where programs like Loyola (before this year) and Drake are, but we took one step closer in being a top of the conference regular season team. Hopefully we get most of the guys back, add a couple pieces, schedule well, and make next year that final step to being a top tier annual mid major. I think it'd be nice to know Mast's decision before the NIT, because I'd love to see guys like Davis, Jonovic, and Hannah get a little more run to start prepping for next year. We should still go for the wins of course in a big tournament, but maybe just get them out there a little bit to develop.
