I do not think Cincy is a good fit for him. I would think he would have better options moving forward.

Read through their posts...seems split between some Cincy fans thinking he's a good fit and some Cincy fans thinking about the same issues some have brought up here. He's slightly undersized to play the 5 at a P5 conference and questionable athleticism to be a 4 at that level. Interested to see where he lands and how he does. I won't be rooting for him or wherever he goes since it won't be BU. But I have no ill will towards him and his decision.

"Rooting" may have been the wrong word there. It's highly unlikely that he will end up at a school that I follow or support. I loved Terry Roberts when he was at BU. Didn't watch or follow Georgia all year other than the few headlines with his name attached. It'll be the same with Mast. If I see an article pop up with his name, I'll read it but I won't be following another team because he's on it. Like I said, no ill will. I wish him the best in his future endeavors on and off the court.

As much as I want him to stay, it is for selfish reasons. And the reality is that most people do not choose the same school for their masters and their undergrad.

I wish him the best but his lack of loyalty doesn’t deserve our good will moving forward like Jashon, Ville, Kennell, DB3, etc. However, I don’t blame him for taking the bigger NIL deal. Terry Roberts is dead to me and UGA didn’t seem to turn out too well for him.

Rienk was a big reason that we remained relevant post Covid. He was at Bradley for four years (three active playing years). He was a big reason why Malevy came to Bradley. And I hate to break it to you but this is going to happen every single year from now on - college basketball has changed. Let’s be grateful for a talented kid who stays four years because that likely won’t be the norm.

Exactly. I have no ill will towards Rienk based on his decision to enter the portal. He was here 4 years, graduated, and was a great contributor to the team and a reason we had such a fun year this year. Pre all the rule changes he would likely have left now as well. Can't ever fault a player for leaving after they graduate.

Who else would even be a "stunner" at this point? Hickman doesn't seem like he would leave, and Leons said he is staying. Those are really the only two sure shot starters we have at this point. Outside of those two, no one would stun me.

I guess I would be surprised if Duke entered the portal since he was in it last year. Would need a waiver to avoid sitting out.

My fear is that one of these two players does in fact leave- Zek was an easy one to see leaving as he was never given the type of freedom to fully utilize his offensive skill set- his game and body transfer to the P5 level much better thank Rienks in my opinion

Anything can happen now if the players think we will not be competitive next season. We went from having a very good chance at winning another championship to wondering who are players will be next season. We have now lost Henry, Mast, Ville, Zek and Pop of which 4 of them played big minutes.

Everyone knew Henry and Ville were going to be gone next year though. Not like it is a huge unexpected change.
