I would think style wise the Big Ten makes the most sense. The Big Ten has some bigger guys, and Mast players a slower post style. Of course, I guess you could argue player against bigger guys might actually be worse for him and he wants to go to a smaller league, even if players are quicker than him. Wisconsin seems like such a perfect fit for him. A stronger, experienced post that can hit an open three and pass, but isn't the quickest. That fits their program perfectly. It is also only a three hour move, and he got to experience the arena. Seems too perfect to me.

Good luck, Rienk! I'll be rooting for you and Florida while you're there!
I thank Rienk for what he did here, but I won’t be rooting for him.

To me that’s the same as quitting. If the team was gonna be overhauled next year with a new coach and a bunch of new players, then I get it, but it’s not. With Mast Bradley starts the season as a borderline top 25 team, returning virtually the same roster. He decided to leave just when Bradley basketball is just on the verge of being special.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I am sure there are others. I've heard he has been contacted by over 60 schools, many of them high-majors.Last edited by ️ Fanatic; 03-25-2023, 03:22 PM.

I do wish Pop well. Not many players are happy riding the bench, and if I were Pop I'd want to go somewhere I'd see more playing time.
Sounds like a contradiction...rooting for Pop, but not for Rienk, but there's a clear distinction in my mind.
I'm still trying to get my head around this whole transfer portal situation, and what it does for our sport. Players are coming and going so fast there seems little to no loyalty to either the school or the fan base. I can see the day maybe coming where I won't care either. It's just a business now. Maybe just start driving over to Eureka and watching Division 3 ball.

I will be rooting for Mast next year. I have less issues with his transfer than others and especially Terry Roberts. Mast spent 4 years here and got his degree and graduated. Graduation is a natural time to move on and while I wish he would stay as someone who left after getting their degree it’s completely understandable.
