Kind of knew going into Arch Madness how competitive the MVC is and that there is not going to be many easy games. Give credit to Born and NIU, they gave us a battle. Once again free throws hurt us, but Henry came thru after starting off 0-5. Tomorrow is a new day and the first game jitters should be out of the way. Keep playing hard, play smart. Two more wins and we're dancing!

Fortunate to survive and advance to the semifinals. Rienk was outstanding with 30 points and 9 rebounds but in the second half I thought we were too perimeter oriented and he didn’t get enough touches. Born had some spurts and ended up with 34 but he was just 11-28 overall. He was 5-12 from 3 but we forced him to drive more into taller defenders and so he only took 2 shots from 3 in the last 10 minutes. JaShon started the game struggling again from the Ft line, started 0-4, but ended strong, finishing 8-10. Hopefully this gives him some confidence going forward. We’re going to need to play better tomorrow than we did today to survive and advance to Sunday’s championship game but sometimes playing ugly is enough to get you through. Onward!
