Northern Iowa is scoring easily and pulling away from ISU, 37-24 with 3+ minutes left in the first half. This is allowing Ben Jacobson to rest his starters a little more than usual, and play bench guys who usually don't play much.
I guess I'd rather see ISU put up a little bit more of a fight.

ISU has been horrible so far down 18 with about 12 to go.

Something else to think about is how the Thursday night games gave a huge advantage to the #1 seed as they played a team that got done playing around 8 the night before and then had to play again at noon on Friday. This year while Bradley won't have to play on Thursday, the team they get to play has basically a whole day of rest before they have to play again. Just food for thought.

ISU Blue had ZERO problem with Evansville winning 97-58. ISU scored the first 7 and never looked back. At no time in the game did Evansville score more than 2 straight points before ISU would score. The Sycamores were able to rest their starters for most of the second half. They had 7 guys play at least 17 minutes. Freshman Robbie Avila led ISU with 21 points and Conner Neese had 19. Both were 7-9 from the field with Neese being 5-6 from 3. Overall ISU shot 38-65, 13-30 from 3 while Evansville overall was just 21-63. ISU gets their rematch 8 days ago as they take on Belmont at 2:30 on Friday.

ISU's offense struggled at times. Their new coach has work to do, but should be given time to bring in his own players.

In the second game, Evansville's offense was pathetic, while Indiana State scored at will. The Sycamores built an 18 point halftime lead, then blew the Aces away in the second half, outscoring them 51-30 to win Indiana State 97- Evansville 58- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401514318

Valpo and Murray State underway. The Racers won both games in overtime, by 7 and on Sunday by 1. Ben Krikke scored 55 points in those 2 games. Should be a fun one.

Just like the first 2 games, this Valpo-Murray game is starting to look a little one-sided.
The UIC-Missouri State game probably won't be much different. I did not expect any upsets on this day 1, but I am a bit surprised every game has been so lopsided.

Valpo led 2-0 and that was the highlight of the night for them as Murray State gradually pulled out to a double digit lead in the first 10 minutes and never looked back. Valpo cut the lead to 9 to start the second half but Murray scored the next 10 points and that was pretty much it. Especially with how bad Valpo was shooting. It was pretty dreadful as they were 18-55 overall, 2-23 from 3. Murray was 29-68 overall, 10-27 from 3. Murray had 4 guys in double figures with Jamari Smith leading the way with 19. Ben Krikke had 14 for Valpo. Murray plays Drake at 6:00 on Friday
