I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Back in the day….IMHO, a Carver sell crowd was good for three points

So the game is looking to likely be a sell out, great to see and this team really deserves this. The support from the community is amazing.

My question now is how does Bradley beat Drake?

They stomped us when we played at their place by 25 points. In that game they shot 48.0% from the three, while we only shot 25.6%. I don't think there will be that big of discrepancy this time.

Devries, Penn, and Sturtz seem to be the biggest part of their offense. IMO biggest key will be good defense to keep these guys in check, especially Devries. Can't let them get to the line either as they are all good FT shooters.

I am excited to see how this turns out, I think we the ability to win but nothing is guaranteed.

Definitely not a gimme, but we are not the same team that lost at Drake. During that time, we also lost a close one at home against Belmont and pulled out an OT win against ISU Red before really turning it on. I think we're going to see some great basketball from our boys on Sunday.

Yes. Many times. Has good food but get there early because limited seating. Most of the people eating there will be going to the game and usually will hang out until about 40 minutes before tipoff.

We have a bad tendency to leave three point shooters wide open and Drake is one of those teams who takes advantage of those wide open 3 point opportunities. They generally have 3 or 4 shooters in the game and with how both Penn and DeVries can handle the ball and pass it, (Drake leads the Valley in committing the least amount of turnovers in 10.6 a game) they are tough to guard. So it's absolutely imperative that we move our feet on defense and don't get suckered into reaching in and fouling. Drake shoots 78% from the FT line. Darnell Broadie seems to give us and especially Rienk Mast some problems in past games so it would be nice if we can establish Rienk early and often. Can't let their subs go off from 3 like 2 of them did in the last game, (7-12 from 3). DeVries is so tough to guard because he has 3 point range but can also score inside. They also have experience in playing in games like this so the moment won't be too big for them. How we handle the moment will be key. Can't get caught up too much in the emotion of the game and of the by far the biggest home crowd of the year. Have to work the ball on offense, be strong with the ball, and not just settle for a quick 3. Can't commit unforced turnovers especially if they lead to points on the other end. We need to control tempo and stay within ourselves. And we MUST MAKE OUR FT'S!!! I would hope that the Valley will have their best refs at this game. The tighter this game is called the more it favors Drake so I hope the refs will let them play. The time for talking is over. All that's left to say is GET ER DONE BOYS!!!!

The defense has improved through the course of the season, including the 3-point defense.
The stats show Bradley is 2nd in the MVC in team 3pt FG% defense, allowing 31.4%
                      That also ranks 51st nationally.

And Bradley ranks 1st in overall team FG defense, allowing 39.975%.-
                      That ranks 17th nationally- https://www.ncaa.com/stats/basketbal...rrent/team/149

Drake is a good shooting team, but I think this team has done a great job defensively. I still don't know how they beat Bradley by 25 points earlier. But, we'll have to hope they'll be prepared and get it done tomorrow.

Totally agree on the FTs.....this is a game that missed FTs could come back and bite the Braves hard.

This is the most important factor for today in my opinion. If it’s “let them play” I think we may have a clearer path. Tommy points this out all season, and he’s right…. And it’s not all about avoiding a free throw competition… we get taken out of our flow with tight fouls and start thinking / aiming too much.
                          Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

I count 169 tickets on Ticketmaster. Th interesting thing is as hot as this ticket is there is only 1 resale seat. I think people want to be there.

Drake is not going to give it to us - We got to go out there and "TAKE IT"
