Bradley beat SIU in their earlier meeting in Peoria on Feb. 1, 62-52, as Bradley's defense (primarily Malevy Leons) held SIU's leading scorer Marcus Domask to just 5 points, which is his lowest scoring output of the season. SIU shot 42.2% for the game, but just 29.4% (5-17) from three. Ja'Shon Henry had perhaps his best offensive game of the season with a team-leading 13 points on 5-7 shooting. The game stayed close and was tied 48-48 with under 5 minutes left. But then Bradley went on a 14-2 run to pull ahead 62-48, then an unguarded layup by SIU at the buzzer ended the game 62-52.
