Yes.I think Ville and Davis will both get their minutes next year

I only bring up Ville and Davis because of similar roles and playing style, though I believe Davis can be a little more diverse in the future. So in a playing time crunch do they both get major minutes when we also have post players to play and we need ball handling guards to add to the bench?

Of course in a straight trade off Davis can take some of Henry's minutes. But it's not just that.

It's subtract Jashon's minutes. Add in minutes for Jonovic (he was supposed to play right away this year), Davis, Burch, Backup point guard (we need one). So with 11 potential rotation guys something will not balance out. I assume a scholarship would open for backup PG from someone. I sure some of the guys not playing might look elsewhere. But I don't want guys like to feel squeezed out of time and leave. Cause in this hypothetical we are bringing the whole band back. I don't think it seems that unrealistic it could happen too outside of maybe Mast. With the whole starting lineup and Hannah and Ville back, the question is will guys like Davis, Jonovic, Burch, Backup PG be fine with pretty limited roles next year? I hope so. Cause that team would be really deep and really good.

Maybe you could pull off starters: Mast, Leons, Zek, Hickman, Deen
Major bench minutes: Hannah, Davis, Ville with Hick playing some point again.
Minor bench minutes: Jonovic, Burch, Backup point

Still a lot of guys, but a good problem to have and I hope it actually happens.

Is there a concern that Mast will not be back next year because bigger schools will come calling? I don't know the kid but I get the feeling that he's a solid BU guy. Just my opinion but does anyone else have information or feelings that say otherwise?

I have no information at all, but just as pure speculation I wonder after four years of college (including redshirt year) if he would have his degree and decide to go pro in Europe rather than play another year or two here. I worry more about that than transferring to another college.

It depends, if everyone who can stay ends up doing so....next year's team looks promising. Next year we could have another good shot at winning the regular season as well. If we don't make it into the big dance this year, it would be a no brainer to return next year for another shot to play in the NCAA tournament. Because the potential increase in earnings from making an NCAA run is greater than a single year of playing basketball in Europe. So unless this team makes a run in March and makes it past the first round it would be a better potential opportunity for them to return for next year.

I don't know that anyone knows this answer, including Rienk. I don't believe he's made any decisions yet about next year. But the NIL and transfer thing is always going to a looming threat for mid-major teams that have quality players like Terry Roberts, Rienk Mast, etc.
