Anyone know how many field goals they scored in the second half. Bulk of their points from free throws.

      Game notes:

      1. Hickman's sophomore slump is over.
      2. Ville isn't ready to be considered a mediocre 3 point shooter just yet.
      3. Deen is quietly a really great point guard.
      4. Rienk doesn't have 2 bad halves in a row.
      5. Malevy just keeps doing everything well.
      6. Jashon never gets the calls and still makes his shots at the rim (we'll miss this guys toughness).
      7. Hannah's D can be intimidating. We already knew he could dunk.
      8. Zek is quietly effective and can take over if we need him to.
      9. Cade and Sam are on the books!
      10. Last but not least, Davis finally firmly entrenched in the rotation.

What a game! Best part was seeing Ville really explode after all the heat he's taken this year. He's such a high effort and good attitude guy that you can't help but root for him and the Ville chant after his 6th 3 was priceless. If we get the Ville we've had the last 2 games, it's going to be very tough to beat us. Feel really good for him and will be sad when he's gone.

Great crowd. Did anyone catch the attendance?

No announcement yet on the attendance.
Nice to see Sam and Cade score. I don't know if the TV coverage showed the Bradley bench after each of them made their shots, but the Bradley players on the bench were all going wild, jumping up and down, dancing, and celebrating. It was hilarious!

Note that Bradley's main stat-keeper was sick and left the arena and went home before the game began. The stats were kept by people who don't usually do it, and it showed. Throughout the game, there were numerous errors in the Live Stats feed. After the game ended, it was recognized by the coaches as well as by Dave Snell and Chad Kleine, and the stats were modified somewhat, and many of the mistakes were cleaned up. But there are still some inaccuracies that will apparently go uncorrected.

According to the Live Stats, Murray State was 9-22 in the first half, and 4-15 in the second half. They were 0-0 from the free throw line in the first half, and 18-27 in the second half. These numbers could be inaccurate (see my post above this one).

It seemed like in the second half, a different set of officials must have switched with the first half officials. They allowed an excessive amount of contact, and hand checking in the first half, then came out in the second half and immediately started blowing whistles almost continuously. There was a total of 7 personal fouls in the first half (4 on Murray State and 3 on Bradley). In the second half, there were 7 personal fouls on Murray State, and 17 on Bradley!!
Since Bradley won in a blowout, I am not going to complain, but many of the calls on Bradley were questionable, and they certainly were not consistent with the way fouls were called (or not called) on the other end of the court.

On a side note, Ville's defense was pretty good in this game. He got burned a couple times, but so did a lot of other guys.

Also, we covered the 11 point spread!

We are really hoping the PCC will be rockin' - and we will certainly do our part to cheer on the BRAVES!!!

It's almost surreal that we're battling for the Valley crown with 3/4 of the conf. season done! It's been 27 years faithful Bradley fans!!!
LB, did you make the game? What a great choice to come down for one if you did! Wish we could have met up, but maybe next time which I hope is soon. You must be good luck!

                It did!

I would hope the final stats do get corrected eventually. There’s gotta be a submission process for that and they have the tape. Players and coaches work too hard for stats to be inaccurate.

Thanks ib. That's the best crowd this year, I think!

Great performance by all today! I think this was the most fun I’ve had at a game in years! Sitting behind the bench and watching the guys celebrate when Ville was hitting those 3’s and then Hennessy with the 3 and Hardtke with the high arching bank shot was priceless!

Murray State led 21-15 with 6:00 and I would say more than a few people were concerned. However the next 8:00 would alleviate those concerns as BU went on a 22-0 run. In the 2nd half we were an amazing 20-25 overall, 8-12 from 3. For the game we were 31-58 overall, 11-25 from 3 and 10-11 from 1. I throughly enjoyed the beatdown as I thought during the first meeting the Murray State players talked a lot of junk and were overly demonstrative on normal plays so it was real nice to see us stick it to them. Hopefully we can keep this momentum building into the next game on Wednesday against Missouri State.

Thanks for the confirmation. I honestly think the second half was about the best half of Bradley basketball I remember seeing in decades. Shooting 80% FG, very few turnovers, all the threes, and the most solid defense in the conference.
