Christian is not eligible to redshirt. A medical redshirt requires an injury in the first half of the season with the player playing in less than 30 percent of the games. He has even played after the injury… I’d like to see him more and he may be our best 3 point shooter but I fear that won’t happen until next year. Coaches know a lot more than I do but at this point I think he gives us more than Ville.houstonbrave

I was going back to our recent history and a win tonight could potentially put the Braves in a 1st-place tie.
The last time that we have been in 1st place at start of Feb. was 2001 I believe (tied with Creighton and the Korver bunch; the following season is when the Jays knocked off #5 Florida in 1st round of tourney with Terrell Taylor's 3-point magic in 2nd OT, and the year after the Jays were ranked as high as #8 nationally)
PLEEEEEASE Braves get a W tonight! This would mean so much to the program and we need to be back in the Valley title race again!
Lonnnngggg time since Bradley had legit hopes of 1st place at the start of February.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

If that is the case, it's very surprising that Davis isn't getting at least SOME playing time. He's performed at both ends of the court with the limited minutes he's gotten so far and when everyone is throwing up bricks, it would be nice to have another option available.Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford

After the season starts, a player can still take a medical redshirt, but there are a couple critera-
The player must not have exceeded 30% of the team's scheduled games. That is usually 9 games.
The other criteria is that he cannot have played in any games past the 1/2 way point of the team's schedule.
Christian Davis has already appeared in 15 games, well more than the maximum allowed to redshirt. Plus, he has already played in a couple games that were past the midway point. So he would not qualify to redshirt.
Edit: I see this was already posted. Sorry for the redundancy.

Bradley played well on defense, but did anyone else think the sub pattern was even more bizarre than normal?
I never understand Leons and Mast out at the same time, but we always do that. Pop and Davis playing for a few minutes (I’m glad about Davis though), and then four non-starters in for most of the last four minutes??? No Deen (cause of the stupid two foul thing I assume). Subbing almost every dead ball.
Very strange.

What a refreshing, really well played game, and we won a big one! Played steady throughout and didn’t commit bad turnovers or out of control shots. A little bit of weird subbing in first half, but otherwise well coached game too. We are now officially back in contention, but must keep playing this way. Zek may be that go to wing player I’m looking for. I love his game. The five of Deen, Zek, Leons, Mast, and Henry really are our best five (not necessarily on court at same time). I want Davis to play more, and Hannah, Ville are fine depth players. Hickman is the wild card, as he is seemingly struggling on both ends now. If he can get going along with the other four starters and Henry as a sixth man, we can do some things. I’m not going to get ahead of myself with this team though, it’s been too much of a roller coaster. Keep playing hard nose defense and keep Zek developing! Great win today, nice job to the players and coaches! Another big one Saturday that could knock us right back down.

We played great defensively tonight. Henry looked like his old self and was glad his injury was nothing serious. Zek is going to be a hell of a player by the time he is done here. Mast struggled with his bread and butter shots but the rest of the team made up for it. Encouraging game, now we know we can play with that level of intensity for a full 40, let's keep it going.
Oh yeah and that was some of the worst officiating I've ever seen. On both ends of the court.
