I couldn’t disagree more. I think he forces his shot more then anyone on the team although that has gotten 10x better in recent games

I think a lot of us have been frustrated by how up and down this team seems to be. On offense we need to decide what our identity is. Too many games it looks like we have no idea what we're doing. That's what happens when you don't have consistent point guard play. Until we do we're going to have inconsistent offensive play and a very thin margin for error. It also doesn't help when Wardle gets in constant substitution mode either. That's when our defense has to bail us out. That's what we've done in the games we've won this year and what we don't do in the games we've lost. We have 10 games left in the regular season, (2 with the Redbirds and SIU, at UNI, at UIC, at Valpo and home games with Murray St, Missouri St and Drake). Might need to go 7-3 to finish in the top 4. If we play like we're capable of that's very doable. If not here we come to Arch Madness Thursday.

Being an up and down team has become a trademark of our basketball program. That is why we are a perennial fourth place team.

Wow! I honestly didn't think it was 5 in the last 30 years! Must have been a few in the mid 90s.

The finishes above 4th place were all by Molinari with the exception of 2019-20 when Wardle’s team finished in third place with an 11-7 conference record.

Yeah he's done really well and had the pandemic not interrupted everything who knows where we'd be at right now.

We have to remember that Connor got moved to point and is still learning to play it. Let's see how he does with a year under his belt.
I believe he does pass up shots but some of that could be he sees what he thinks to be a better shot for someone else.
shot. His defense is better then the average fan sees. He stays in front of his man consistently. Does he get beat sometimes? Of course but so do all players.
