Nice to add an athletic wing that can score, and I presume, get to the free throw line. Big holes on the current team. Now, hopefully, getting another wing that can shoot the lights out from three would be nice too. The current team has a lot of solid shooters, but no wing that can be counted on in big spots against good competition. Duke is probably the best the team has at hitting big threes, but is a point guard. Malevy (if he comes back) is solid, but streaky, and not really a wing. I could see Davis becoming this, but he still isn't there yet.

I assume Burch takes Henry's spot....question is are we done? Will Ville come back for year 5 or will he be moving on giving one more opening without someone leaving?

If I had to guess, I believe Ville will not return.... And as you mention, I believe there maybe others that depart through the portal...

Well if guard play is our weakness, he should provided an immediate boost

Yes, would be great to have a SG that could come in and drop a few dimes immediately next year for us. Especially if Ville doesn't return, and Davis hasn't been able to do a whole lot this year.

Davis was a spark earlier in the year, but down the stretch, he really has been used sparingly and it's hard to know how good he can be in just a few minutes here and there off the bench. I like his game and has the potential to be the sniper we need from long range.
Malevy, Zeke, and Duke are decent from 3-point land, and Connor really needs to work on consistency from behind the arc as he REALLY struggled in Arch Madness, though his floaters were a thing of beauty.

U want a SG to come in as a distributor? I mean neither Ville or Davis is gonna be that type of guy. I think we need absolute knock down shooters, otherwise it’s gonna be hard to drop dimes if guys can’t put in the bucket

DeMarion Burch is a terrific scorer in high school. But he is not a consistent and reliable perimeter shooter from what I'm told. He gets most of his points on drives and shooting while in motion. Those kinds of points aren't nearly as easy to get at the D1 level. Nonetheless, Bradley can really use a guy like that, as none of the current players are reliable scorers on driving the lane, shooting when coming around screens, or while on the move. Hickman is getting better at all those things, but everyone else seem to be mostly spot-up shooters who need space to get a good percentage shot. Good defensive teams like Drake yesterday, and the teams like Arkansas and Auburn with their big guards with long arms can negate the spot-up shooters.
So I'd like to see the Bradley coaches land at least one more shooter, maybe from the portal. But the reliable scorers who can create their own shots are not as easy to find. There are very few like that in the MVC. Recall that is what made Hersey Hawkins and Anthony Parker so good. They could hit shots just about anywhere on the court, on the move, and around screens, or take a defender to the hoop. I'm not suggesting Burch is like Hawkins or Parker, but Bradley needs a little more that type of offensive option.

I agree. I think that’s what another poster was referring to as the team being too robotic in another thread. And while I think we are a bit robotic at times it’s not so much the coaching as it is our personnel… we don’t have bucket getters like ur describing (hawk, AP)

Born and DeVries are both bucket getters

Drop a few dimes means get some baskets, not distribute. It would be nice to have a freshman SG that can come in, create his own shot, and get 6-8 pts a game in limited minutes.
