Seems like every time we claw our way back enough in a season to say “ok, here is another big road game to really establish ourselves as contenders.” This is the result. Such poor play and effort.

I just want to actually contend for a Valley regular season championship one time. I don’t see any way they can come back on the road against this team and that deficit. I really hope I’m wrong, but it seems like it’s over already. I don’t know that we have the heart to do it.

It’s why games like Evansville are losing their luster to me. Ya it’s nice to win big, but it doesn’t mean anything when you can’t beat actual contenders, or even play well against them.

When we look at who’ve we beaten and lost to, I’m not sure we are even top 2-3 contenders. The win list is not very impressive, and we’ve played embarrassingly bad in many losses. That’s a big concern if so.

I think Brian is a solid coach, but I mentioned his stubbornness recently. At what point does he look at his sub patterns and everything he is doing on the road and make a change? To have only one starter out there during an early crucial stretch…why?

By the way, this is why it’s hard to play a guard who can’t shoot. I don’t know why teams haven’t done this before today, but they’re not even guarding Pop. He has to keep defenses honest or it’s hard to play him at all.

How can Bradley be so good at home and shoot so poorly on the road? The first half shooting was pathetic. The basket is still 10 feet off the floor and the rim is still the same diameter as the baskets at Carver Center. Even Mast can’t hit anything. Hopefully, second half will be better.

I can't believe Drake went to overtime against UIC. I just don't get the variability in College basketball.

Right now Hickman and Ville bring nothing to the table. Wardell has to change up the rotation or something to kick start this team.

Add Henry to your list ...totally invisible except on defense where they just blow by him...put in Ahmet, your not winning this game and get him some experience...

Ftr, Hickman was the Player of the Game, and lead Bradley in scoring just last game with a season-high 15 points.

Maybe we should just start forfeiting road games, and save the travel expenses.

Well, just after the dominating wins at home against Valparaiso and Evansville, Bradley suffers a dominating beatdown from Drake.
This game reminded me of the Belmont game- quick start that stalled out, while Drake suddenly got hot. The difference was that Bradley never really recovered as Drake rained threes all game.
Final score- Drake 86 Bradley 61
                    stats- https://godrakebulldogs.com/sidearmstats/mbball/media

Duke Deen with a nice game- 21 points, 4 assists
                    Leons with 10 points & 10 rebounds
                    Mast with 10 points & 6 rebounds
                    Not much else positive.
Bradley drops to 12-7, and 5-3 in the MVC.

Pathetic. I used to think Mast was a candidate for player of the year but not anymore. Drakes experience really showed.

                              “Best defense in the Valley”

Reminder that in 3 years it’ll be 20 years since we won an NCAA tournament game.

Sorry but Reink was awful. He has to give us a lot more in a game like this.
