I think Drake is quickly proving itself as the most overrated team in the Valley after barely beating Valpo in Des Moines and losing at MoSt.

Missouri State appears to getting things together. They looked like a much better team than they were in the first 2 months of the season. I don't think many teams will beat them in Springfield, unless they revert to their more selfish style of play. And that is a possibility, since it seems to keep happening with Dana Ford's teams.

          MVC scores-
          https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...ype/2/group/18

Missouri State (3-1) holds Drake (2-20 to 49 points, and wins 52-49.
Valparaiso and Evansville both drop to 0-4 in the MVC. Murray State improves to 3-1 with their win over hapless Evansville, and Indiana State remains the only undefeated team (4-0) in the MVC (4-0) with their win over Valpo.
And SIU is pulling away from Belmont, and will also go to 3-1. Belmont was just 4-22 from three, SIU was 4-19 from three.

Wondering if SIU did a major promotion for the game - they had over 7k in attendance. Whatever they did, the BU Athletic Dept should take note. Also helps when you have several hundred students at the game.

Thanks, Coach. The party atmosphere and special concession items are a nice touch. Sadly, I don't think PCC would ever be able to something like this.

Also, those ticket price promos . Curious what SIU season ticket holders thought of it...

$1 tickets (enter promo code "ONE") -- None Remaining
$2 tickets (enter promo code "TWO") -- None Remaining
50% off select lower bowl seats + specialty drink coupon (enter promo code "FIFTY")
$3 tickets (enter promo code "THREE")
$4 tickets (enter promo code "FOUR")
$5 tickets (enter promo code "FIVE")
$6 tickets (enter promo code "SIX")

There seems to be a really big gap shaping up in the valley this year. The 4-5 teams at the top will be competitive and compile a ton of conference wins, while the lower half of the conference appear to barely be able to scrape together a few wins at home. Should be interesting to see how things pan out.

I don't know about that just yet. They have the win over Miss State, and their only bad loss was against Richmond. Things can happen in conference play, and they could still get it together and go on a big run. Wouldn't surprise me anyway.

                          Standings-

Interesting that after 2 home games each, only 4 MVC are unbeaten (2-0) at home. But 10 of the 12 teams have won at least 1 of their 2 home games.
The only team that is undefeated at 4-0 is Indiana State. Their 2 road wins were at SIU and Valpo. 3 other teams are 2-0 in road games, SIU (road wins at Evansville & Murray State), Murray State (road wins at Valpo & Evansville), and Missouri State (road wins at UIC and UNI).
