Well this feels like a bit a choking after being up 9 for a large part of the 2nd half, and then having about 4 chances to take the lead or tie near the end of the game. History doesn't lie and it is really hard to win at Belmont, but it sure feels like if BU is a MVC champion caliber team they should have taken this game at Belmont.

Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.

Agree with Stryker. Should have won this. Basically did nothing to stop Belmonts three point shooting.

Wow that's a tough loss....never felt comfortable with Belmont speeding up the Bradley offense....playing out of control...also missed FTs....

Perhaps. I felt we outplayed Belmont for the majority of the game and looked like the better team, but they executed some shots late and we didn’t. Specifically, all game we got the shots we wanted out of our half court offense but just didn’t put them in. To me the eye test didn’t match the final score. We will see.

Score 22 points in the 2nd half, 10 in the last 11:00, is not a recipe for a successful outcome. Missed too many point blank shots and forced some shots that we didn't have to. Belmont played harder than we did in the last 10 minutes and that allowed them to come back and win. I know the guys are disappointed with the outcome so hopefully they can take that disappointment, bottle it up, and open up a can of woop ass on UIC on New Years Eve,

Friberg killed Bradley with those 2nd half threes. Great showing by Bradley fans. They were somewhere near 100 Bradley fans at the game

I did learn a few more things about the newest Bradley commit. I'll post more when I get back to my hotel.

While you could look at a series of different factors, really it comes down to:

                  3 PT Shooting
                  Bradley 5-20 (25%)
                  Belmont 11-25 (44%)

That's your game. They hit more threes than we did. Most of the other key stats were even or in our favor. We cut down on our turnovers, forced them into more than they usually do, etc. This one hurts a lot more than a few games where we had little chance of winning (ARK, UT ST). It's hard to win on the road in the Valley but if you want to compete for a title, we're going to need more of these.
                  Go Braves!

No reason for Ville to be in when we had to have a defensive stop.

Missed FT’s and flimsy second half rim killed us. Also, first time I’ve seen the flop call all season.

The only way we lose that game is if we shoot poorly and one of their guys goes nuts from 3. Both happened. We play them at home or in the Valley tournament and we beat them by 20.

Great Bradley crowd tonight too. Almost sounded like a home game.

Even when we built a 9 point lead I didn't feel good about our chances. Just my gut feeling. Belmont can only beat you one way (threes) and that's just what happened. Hated to watch this one slip through our fingers.

I'd like to see just how good Leons could be if he would play a little more selfish, for lack of a better word.

                              Tough loss.

Happy to have Belmont in the valley, but not necessarily a fan of “woooo lady.” Those who were listening to Snell know what I’m talking about.
