I really like the Landon Moore kid, the Mason Walters kid seems good, and this kid who visited today seems like a good freshman (I wouldn’t mind having two of those in him and Burch). All those guys seem to fill a role we are missing:
Burch: young guy and driving scorer
Moore: taller pg who can shoot
Walters: shooter and scorer who can play the forward spot.
Atlason: young guy and athletic stretch four guy.
Those all make sense to me. But Mitchell? I don’t know what role that fills with him being a veteran guy already too. I guess I’ll trust the untapped potential if the coaching staff thinks that, but seems like we could get a guy like this much later in this process. As a fan, not that that means much, it doesn’t excite me. I’m hoping for more established players if we are going to get veterans for a big year next year.

He played in 36 games this season, but did not start any. He averaged 7.4 minutes per game, his lowest playing time in any of the 4 seasons he's been at Creighton (he redshirted last year after getting injured early in the season). He averaged just 1.6 ppg, his lowest output in his 4 season, and he shot 34.5% from three (29% for his career) on relatively low numbers.

Not really an impressive list, probably because of his poor numbers in 2022-23, and his injury in 2021-22. But Mitchell was a 3-star recruit, and 247Sports.com ranked him #190 nationally in 2019, so he does appear to have potential.

He is originally from Iceland and has played as an amateur with KR Reykjabik in the pro league there. He played at Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas this past season. He looks very skilled and athletic. He just turned 18 in December, and would be a freshman with 4 years of eligibility.

Bradley has also been in contact with 2023 Almar Atlason- 18-year old 6'9" forward, originally from Iceland, and now playing at Sunrise Christian Academy, near Wichita, Kansas.
He has played for the Iceland National Team, and for a couple pro teams, KR Reykjavik in the Iceland pro league, and for an Italian Serie B team. He put up impressive numbers playing for the Iceland National team.
His videos remind me a little of Luuk va Bree, but appears stronger for an 18-year old.

A couple more names our staff has been in contact with-
2023 Daniel Johnson- 6'6" high school senior at Chicago Whitney Young HS. He has a few offers, but is still unsigned. He is rated as a 3-star recruit by 247sports.com and Rivals.com. https://verbalcommits.com/players/daniel-johnson https://247sports.com/player/daniel-johnson-46116048/
Video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy4bKTe9h9M (Daniel Johnson is #3 in white uniform)
Portal- Ryan Conwell- 6'4" shooting guard, a freshman at University of South Florida. He is a graduate of Pike HS in Indianapolis, class of 2022, where he averaged 22.6 ppg and 6.7 rpg his senior year. He had many mid-major offers a year ago before he committed to USF, including MVC offers from Indiana State, Murray State, Evansville, and SIU. There is no mention anywhere that Bradley recruited him in high school, but it's possible.
He played 18.6 minutes per game as a freshman at USF, and started 21 of 32 games. He averaged 5.1 ppg and 1.9 rpg, and he was 30.0% from three.
He entered the portal last week. He would have 3 more seasons of eligibility.- https://verbalcommits.com/players/ryan-conwell
