Bradley remains in contact with Emarion Ellis, a 6'5" redshirt-freshman at Marquette. Ellis was a 4-star recruit out of Davenport (Iowa) Assumption HS in the class of 2021. He initially committed to Texas when Shaka Smart was head coach there, but then switched his commitment to Marquette when Smart got that job. After seeing little playing time as a freshman, he was expected to be a key contributor this past season as a sophomore for a loaded Marquette team. However, he suffered a stress fracture in his leg and underwent surgery last August, and missed the entire 2022-23 season.
Marquette head coach Shaka Smart recruited a couple highly rated 2023 guards, and Ellis decided to leave and enter the transfer portal.

Bradley coaches are familiar with Ellis from recruiting him back in 2020, before his stock rose-

Bradley gets a commitment from Marquette transfer Emarion Ellis. Ellis was a 4-star recruit from Davenport Assumption HS in Davenport, Iowa, in the class of 2021. He is a 6'5" extremely talented and athletic guard. He was named the Iowa Class 3A Player of the Year in 2021, and 1st team All-State by the Des Moines Register. He averaged 18.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game per game his senior year.

He initially committed to Texas in the summer prior to his senior season, but when head coach Shaka Smart left Texas and took the Marquette job, Ellis decommitted and committed to Marquette in April, 2021. He had limited playing time his freshman season (see stats). He missed the entire 2022-23 season after developing a stress fracture in his leg that required surgery.
    Welcome to Bradley Emarion!

That's the Brad Beal Elite EYBL (Nike) program that Lathan Sommerville now seems to be joining-

        • Still seems like a longshot for the Braves to get Sommerville...
but until he commits I'll keep holding out hope that it can happen.

          • It puts him in the Missouri neighborhood who is recruiting him.

Bradley is almost as close to St. Louis as the University of Missouri is.

              • I corrected the above post- the AAU program he appears to be joining is the Brad Beal Elite program out of St. Louis-

If it's true that Rutgers insiders know this and our insiders don't, that not a good sign.

Maybe, but not necessarily. It's possible that Sommerville has notified all the schools that offered him. The Bradley coaches are notable for their secrecy.

I hope Lathan chooses The Hilltop and shocks the P5/P6 schools while simultaneously putting this board into a frenzied meltdown. Stay home young man!

Arguably might have the best NIL opportunities in Peoria with his dad still big in the community.

Committing to Bradley would benefit the entire Sommerville family.

And create a Sommerville dynasty at BU! We need to get Cellus on the staff.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

With a decision on Friday, what schools are in four-star Lathan Somerville's top three?
