Watching this game, I thought it was a bit of a clunker for us honestly, but postgame crew and HC Wardle were fairly positive about the effort. I just felt we should have been able to execute a bit better in the half court against an overmatched opponent. BUUUUTTTT…..
then I realized these guys are exhausted from all the travel and a very short turnaround…48 hours between tipoffs with a lot of travel in between. Given that, it’s solid. Good job guys.

Turnovers still seem to be sloppy at times but good scoring game for Bradley, especially Deen.

I’m not liking Davis being out of the rotation now. He’s a top 9 player for sure. He gives more than Pop, and has been at least on par with Ville, Hannah, and Zek to me. Ville is solid against slower teams, but Davis is a better defender against quicker guards. He’s also shot the three just as reliably. Hannah is inconsistent and gets pushed around a lot. Zek should start still, but Davis has been a great passer too with high IQ, which is something this team is majorly struggling with the last 5 games. And guys that can shoot are always a plus. If you’re going 8-9 deep he’d certainly be in there for me. He’d be right there as one of the first bench guys with Jashon and Ville.

Pop has had a tough stretch. He's not getting much playing time, and he's only scored 3 points (one basket + one free throw) over the last 7 games combined.
Yet he obviously is capable of scoring. He averaged 18.2 ppg over 30 games last year against some of the best juco opponents in the country, in addition to averaging 6.0 rebounds per game, and 4.9 assists per game.
I think we are going to need him in the conference season, so let's hope he makes whatever adjustments are needed to get back into a productive role. Duke played a game-high 30 minutes last night despite the game being a blowout. It was the most he's played since the UNI game when he played 35 minutes. So to keep Duke from wearing down in the conference season, Bradley will need more minutes and production from Pop, IMO.
