I was trying to analyze this too, and I can’t figure it out. I was thinking maybe it should have been sideline vs end line out of bounds… or that he was simply upset that it took so much effort to get noticed about another timeout. If it was because of the space back, Wardle must have been “wrong” because the kid lines even further back on ensuing play. And he travelled.
    Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

I heard from someone else who was there and was sitting very close, you are right. Wardle was trying to get the attention of the referee to get the timeout, and the ref seemed to ignore him and was more interested in whatever he was talking about with the SIUE player.

Nice to see Hannah step up. With players coming back I thought he was starting to play himself out of the rotation, but this was a big step back in the right direction.

I’m a little surprised how inconsistent Connor seems at the line so far this year. Small enough sample I guess, but still. We need to get to the line more as a team in general.

Clean it up over the next week and a half and maybe we can scare Arkansas. Pretty solid win to have on the resume as ugly as it was.
After Leon's 5-for-5 shooting exhibition from 3-point land just 3 games ago, he has missed like his last 12!
We desperately need his shooting to improve. He is such a steady defensive player and does a lot of little things.

IMO, Hannah was the player of the game and without his contributions, no way we win this game. Way to go Darius! He looked more confident and hungry than ever.

Hickman has been pretty steady for us the last 3 games - great to see! (tho I agree BUfan14, he doesn't look sharp at the line this year! Very flat shot.)

Not impressed by Duke Dean so far except for 1 game...wondering why time is not split between him and Pop, though Dean is a good playmaker and has a better sense of where to go, but he coughs the ball up WAYYYYYYY too much!

I expected a letdown in this game too - it took a little bit to even prime me to watch the replay of the game...and for me, that is RARE!
I think Coach Wardle did a good job to prep the guys and have their heads in the game and make the adjustments at the half. Terrible shooting - we missed SO badly from behind the arc in the 2nd half.

Happy to get the W! And it's a road win, which is where we often struggle.

Our inconsistency from behind the arc worries me much. We have other ways to make up for it, but it's not always gonna be that way.
Nobody is very reliable. I think Hickman and Zek are the best shooters, but they need to be at about 37% - then we'll be alright.
Mast had a couple BIG 3s in the game, and he struggled mightily from 3 last season.

Davis seems to have a nice stroke, but didn't look good last game.

Agreed LB. I know a lot of folks on the boards were ready to give up on Hannah last year and you always seemed to be one of the few that thought there was something there. I think a lot of are agreeing with you now!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

              .
I believe Leon's is the difference from Bradley being a good vs. great team. This kid has a lot of ability & skills, he is magnificent defensively & like Little Brave said does a lot of little things that are very important for a winning team. The challenge is he is not a finisher... he drives to the basket and then backs away from contact. He tries to reverse layup a direct shot "and 1" (he is a fantastic free-throw shooter) yet won't take those contact shots in the lane. He prefers to be a perimeter shooter... and has a great 3-point stroke. Yet that becomes one-dimensional as a player and easier to defend. If you watch some of his possessions, he gets the ball on the wing and dribbles side to side and quickly makes another perimeter pass, without any threat of penetration. Most times a fake and a hard drive, he will beat his defender and create more offense, or an easier basket vs. perimeter passes. Leons has a lot of further untapped potential, I hope he finds the confidence to take advantage of... for the team & himself! Go Braves!!

The Missouri Valley. Their piecemeal strategy for streaming games isn't going to grow the Valley or Bradley Basketball.
