Coach Wardle on the post game show was talking about depth, and how fatigue played a part in UNI's poor 2nd half.
He said, "When we get J-Hen back", we'll be even better with our depth....

Zek should be about a week away from returning, also. Gonna be a crowded backcourt with Zek, Duke, Pop, Hickman and Ville.

Pop has already fallen out of the rotation so I don’t think it’ll be too much of a problem.

Zek was playing the three and I think will return there when back, because we need a true wing three starting. I’d start Davis until then honestly.

I also think Hannah’s minutes could be in danger if he doesn’t start playing better, hasn’t been great for a few games now. We don’t have to start three bigs, especially when healthy.

Something like this is fine with me:

1 - Deen 32/Hickman 8
2- Hickman 24/Ville 16
3 - Montgomery 20/Davis 15/Leons 5
4 - Leons 20/Henry 20
5 - Mast 30/Leons 5/Hannah 5

Sprinkle in Hannah for defense or dunk plays when necessary. I’ve complained about our wing depth, but our 1/2 guard and post depth are good for sure.

Turnovers and free throws are still problems at times, but overall a good game by our four main guys Deen, Hickman, Leons, Mast. Deen great game. Ville looked better back in his role today, and Davis continues to be a good passer and solid on defense with a couple threes on top of it.

Deen in this game reminded me a lot of Darrel Brown. Not saying he is on the same level as DB but I like the way he runs the offense and can be a volume scorer.

Funny you said that because I said out loud in the second half, he really looks like Terry Roberts tonight. Good comparisons either way - it's clear that Duke is the engine that makes this team go.

Him, Hickman, Malevy and Mast is a pretty fearsome four. My best 5 has either either Zek or Davis playing a lot of minutes based upon who is hot on a given day - they have a lot of similar traits for what I've seen so far, although Zek might be a more well rounded player and Davis seems to have a cleaner outside shot.

I think that can be a great starting team on its own ... if Henry can still play ...
