Anyone else think the decision for Max to redshirt this season with all the injuries might be a bad one. Maybe I'm on an island alone on this thinking but Max would be getting more valuable minutes now than maybe ever in his Bradley career...seems like a missed opportunity to me here. I do not know what transpired between Max and Wardle to come to this decision...maybe it was all Max, maybe all Wardle but the playing time missed with all the injuries would have been a blessing. Just my opinion...

The team could have really used him the past few games with all the injuries. However with a healthy team I am not sure where he would fit in.
My guess for that redshirt decision is that he wants to transfer after this year and doesn't want to use a year of eligibility. But that is just a guess.

I think the decision to not have another scoring wing was the decision that hurt.
Max could have filled a spot, but judging on last year he doesn’t really shoot from distance or score much anyway. Unless he improved a lot, he’d essentially be a body out there, like Linke. We do need someone with his height to play the three though, cause to me a post shouldn’t be playing the three spot in the Valley.
I’ve wondered if he sees the writing on the wall and wants to save a year of playing eligibility, but I have no idea.

For the record, a redshirt decision is reversible at any time if the player (and coach) decide they want to play, or if circumstances, such as injuries to other players, create a need for the player to play.
It's happened at least a couple times before to Bradley players.
In the 1996-97 season, Anthony Parker's senior season, he suffered a broken bone in his foot and was going to miss several weeks at the start of the season. Prior to the season, Bradley coach Jim Molinari had decided to redshirt freshman Michael Collins. But after Parker's injury, they decided to reverse the decision, and made Collins eligible. Collins played some meaningful minutes the 9 games Parker missed. But after Anthony returned from his injury, Collins' playing time dropped off significantly.
Then in the beginning of the 2009-2010 season, freshman Jake Eastman was redshirted. But 9 games into the season, Dyricus Simms-Edwards developed a stress fracture in his foot, and was going to miss 4-6 weeks. So Head Coach Jim Les decided to reverse Jake's redshirt, and he played the last 22 games of that season.
