Valparaiso loses to South Dakota State 61-50-

The game was the first of two games in the Hostilo Community Classic in Savannah, GA. They will play James Madison on Sunday. Valpo is now 2-4.
South Dakota State is 3-3. They do not appear to have the 3-point snipers they have had the last couple years. They are shooting only 34% on the season from three, and shot 6-17 (35.3%) against Valparaiso. But Valpo had a worse shooting day, just 22-60 overall (36.7%), and 6-26 (23.1%) from three. Kobe King lead Valpo with 18, and Ben Krikke had 12 points, but was 0-5 from three.

Missouri State loses to UNC Wilmington 68-54-
Missouri State was just 2-19 from three, and just 18-34 on FTs (52.9%).
That makes the MVC 0-2 so far today with 1 game left- South Alabama vs. Evansville.
The MVC is not looking very good so far. The combined record now is 35-31, but just 30-31 against D1 teams.
The MVC has dropped to 19th in conference RPI-
