The Merrimack College Warriors are from North Andover, Massachusetts, and is a member of the Northeast Conference.
This is their 4th year as a Division I school.

This season, they were picked #1 in the NEC Preseason Coaches Poll-

    1. Merrimack (6)

    3. Saint Francis U
    4. Wagner (1)
    5. St. Francis Brooklyn
    6. (tie) CCSU
    FDU
    8. LIU
    9. Stonehill
    First place votes in parentheses

Bradley will also play the #9 picked team, Stonehill, on December 19.
Merrimack is 1-5, with the only win coming against Clark University, a small, Division III private Catholic university from Worcester, Massachusetts. Their game against Clark was their only home game, so far.

They have lost their last 4 games, 3 in a neutral court tournament in Montana, and a loss at Providence on Wednesday (Nov. 23).
    Schedule/results- https://merrimackathletics.com/sport...tball/schedule

They returned 4 starters from last year, and 4 of their top 6 scorers, including their top 2 scorers, 6'8", 240 lb. senior F Jordan Minor (17.0 ppg) and 6'6" senior G/F Ziggy Reid (14.0 ppg). However, leading scorer and Northeast Conference Preseason Player of the Year Jordan Minor played only in their first 2 games (Nov. 7 & Nov. 10), and has not played since. There is no mention anywhere on their website or in the media why he has missed their last 4 games, whether he will be available to play at Bradley, or whether he is still with the team.

As a team, they are shooting 31.9% from three. Bradley is not much better at 32.8%.
Their offense has struggled. They average only 59.8 ppg as a team, which ranks 351st out of 326 Division I teams. But in their last 4 games, without leading scorer Jordan Minor, they are averaging 55.8 ppg.
Their FG% is 38.2%, which ranks 344th, and their FG's per game average is 19.3/game, which ranks 361st out of 362.

Well, not sure what to say about this one.
Getting the win obviously is primary, but need to get some guys to start shooting the 3s better, including Connor.
Ville has been very disappointing after his freshman season.

A little worried about being ready for this game, but Wardle usually does a good job with that, especially at home.

Looking fw to Reink's return - could that be before December? Hope so.

I think the shooting will be much better today at home.
In Bradley's 3 home games (Parkside, EMU, & SEMO), Bradley's overall shooting is 90-169, or 53.3%
In their 3 games away from home (Utah St., Auburn, Liberty), Bradley shot 61-167, or 36.5%
The Liberty game was especially painful. The overall shooting was 17-53, for 32.1%. That was the worst shooting performance in a regular season game since the road game at Memphis on Dec. 3, 2019, when Bradley shot 22-82, 26.8%.

BU is -12 today. O/U is 127. I like over and lay the points.

Getting POP back will help...Duke and Connor were forcing quick shots on O' last game on tired legs from all the minutes...

I agree NC. We play like a different team at home.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Yes, great news! Rienk has been cleared and will not only play, but is listed as a starter for today's game against Merrimack.

Great news! I'm sure his minutes will be limited (15-20) but so good to hear.

... leading scorer and Northeast Conference Preseason Player of the Year Jordan Minor played only in their first 2 games (Nov. 7 & Nov. 10), and has not played since. Jordan Minor, Merrimack's leading scorer and Northeast Conference Preseason Player of the Year has been suspended for their last 4 games.
He is not listed in today's starting lineup, and he does not appear to be with the team. So he may still be on suspension from the team.

Like it so far...Deen needs to settle down, quite a few bad passes, not good.

I predict that Christian Davis will be a great get for the Braves before it all said and done. Good body, active hands and good shot...

Final score- Bradley 83 Merrimack 41-
                              Official box score-
                              https://bradleybraves.com/sports/men...boxscore/21483
                              PDF- https://dbukjj6eu5tsf.cloudfront.net...39-2184769.pdf

                              Attendance: 3,714

This was a no-doubt blowout from the beginning.
Bradley shot 63.6% in the first half to pull out to a 19 point halftime lead, 39-20. It would have been more except for a lot of careless passes leading to 12 first half turnovers. The 2nd half was more of the same. Bradley shot 51.6% and outscored Merrimack in the 2nd half 44-21. For the game, Bradley shot 30-53 (56.6%), and 12-24 from three (50.0%)
Merrimack had a bad shooting day, shooting 21.4% for the game (12-56), and 15.2% from three (5-33).

Malevy Leons made it look easy all game- 32 points and 10 rebounds. He was 11-12 from the floor, and 5-5 from three, 5-5 on FTs, and 3 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Maybe be good enough for MVC Player of the Week?
Rienk Mast looked very good in his return, with 12 points and 6 rebounds in 17 minutes.
Connor Hickman had 14 and was 4-8 from three.
Ville had 9 points and 9 rebounds, but was only 1-5 from three.
                              And solid defense all game.

The only downside was the turnovers- Bradley's 22 turnovers were the most since they had 23 in a game against Kansas State on 11/27/19 in the Fort Myers Tip-Off. And Duke Deen had 8 turnovers, most were unforced. He had only totaled 9 turnovers in his first 6 games combined.
It's unfair to compare this opponent to the two Bradley faced in Cancun, but Bradley sure looked like a different team with Rienk Mast back, along with Pop Weathers. And did anyone else hear the rumor that Ja'Shon Henry might be close to returning?
That would be welcome news with Bradley's next game on Wednesday, Nov. 30 against Northern Iowa.
