I agree with this comment. Player safety is #1, but a close second is liability.

Is there any update on Ja’Shon? Was it a concussion? Seems odd to be in some sort of protocol this long if it wasn’t. What all does concussion protocol entail?

This article seems to indicate he’ll be back soon and has been “working out with the team.” Not sure where that info comes from or what his “restrictions” were other than not playing.

I don't know anything official, yet what I heard... Jashon did not have a concussion, and someone (him or coach(es)) reported it as a concussion... And "from what I also heard"--- because there is a history of concussions, that the protocol is 3-weeks... so from time of reporting, this Saturday would be 3-weeks.

Waiting to hear more concrete information

Every sport, and sometimes every conference or individual school can have slightly different concussion protocols. All protocols involve a structured list and sequence of reduced activities initially, increased time for rest and sleep, then gradually increasing activities over time, plus frequent (usually every 24 hours) rechecks. And it does vary based on history of past concussions.

It sounds like there may be a lesson in this, not to make any definitive diagnosis or announcement that quickly afterward. But who knows, there’s always more to the story.

Sounds like Ja'Shon Henry practiced today & provided he is feeling good during the week... should be available for Bradley game vs. Arkansas. This could be the first game Bradley is at full strength this year!
