Southern ice cold from three.. Loses 71-53 -
After an impressive win at Oklahoma State, Southern Illinois gets clobbered y Southern Indiana 71-53.
Southern Indiana is in their first season as a Division I school. They lost to Missouri 97-91 last Monday in their first D1 game, and now knocks off Southern Illinois, one of the favorites in the MVC. Southern Indiana lead for most of the game, and slowly lulled away in the second half. The Salukis shot poorly (32.8% overall, 17.2% from three), Domask was 0-7 from three, they were outrebounded 34-25, and they had 14 turnovers. Southern Illinois got little from their bench, and 74% of their scoring came from just 3 players- Marcus Domask, Lance Jones, and Xavier Johnson.
