ISU lead EIU by 1 point (50-49) with 15 seconds left when an EIU foul game ISU 2 free throws, and stretched the ISU lead to 52-49. Then a 3-point miss by EIU resulted in a desperation foul, and 2 more points for ISU to give ISU the 54-49 win.

SIU trailed at Oklahoma State most of the game, and was down 13 points in the 2nd half. But they made a run in the final few minutes and finally took the lead on a Marcus Domask three pointer with 22 seconds left. But OSU had a turnover and a missed shot in the final seconds to give SIU the terrific road win.

Biggest win of Mullins' coaching career at SIU and biggest win on the road for SIU since knocking off Colorado in Boulder more than 20 years ago.My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.
