Starting center J.D. Muila is also out with a back problem.

Scottie Ebube played briefly in SIU's opening game Monday against Little Rock. He fouled out in just 8 minutes, but had 9 points and 6 rebounds. He is 6'10, 265 points, and could eventually be a force in the MVC.

ISU lead EIU by 1 point (50-49) with 15 seconds left when an EIU foul game ISU 2 free throws, and stretched the ISU lead to 52-49. Then a 3-point miss by EIU resulted in a desperation foul, and 2 more points for ISU to give ISU the 54-49 win.

SIU trailed at Oklahoma State most of the game, and was down 13 points in the 2nd half. But they made a run in the final few minutes and finally took the lead on a Marcus Domask three pointer with 22 seconds left. But OSU had a turnover and a missed shot in the final seconds to give SIU the terrific road win.

Biggest win of Mullins' coaching career at SIU and biggest win on the road for SIU since knocking off Colorado in Boulder more than 20 years ago.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

This will end up as a quad-1 win in NET rankings.

Looks like all the hype for SIU this year may be warranted.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I assume you mean non-conference win? I'd venture to say that SIU's road win at Butler in 2007 (Bracketbusters) was bigger than last night's win. And SIU defeated a ranked Creighton team on the road that season if I recall correctly, and may have had a couple more marquee wins on the road.
But great for the program and indicates it's headed in the right direction!

Anyone recall how many MVC home games the Salukis won in a row in the early to mid 2000s? I'm thinking it was like 43, which is about 5 straight seasons without a loss at home in conference play. It's amazing for any team to do that for 2 seasons, but THAT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!
