Bad officiating (hanging on the rim, inbounds, touch fouls, etc) mixed with bad shooting makes for a long night.

Montgomery needs to play more. He’s still raw but is a match up nightmare.

I like Dean, Ville, Zek, Henry and Hannah. Leon’s looks like he did at the start of last year..tentative. Connor will find his stride (shot looked off tonight). Our front court is very weak without Mast.

Very disappointing effort tonight. Shooting was poor and guarding the 3 was poor. Will be a loooooong flight back home. Short turnaround before facing Eastern Michigan on Tuesday. The less said about this game the better

In fairness Duke did show some promise. He was the highlight.

I thought Zek had a good game (12 points, 5-9 shooting), Duke played well (team high 15 points, but just 5-13) and only 2 turnovers. And Goanar gave BU 22 good minutes with Hannah in foul trouble, but can't say too much about anyone else.
Ja'Shon battled and had 9 rebounds, but like Hickman, Leons, Duke, and Ville, the shots weren't falling.

No surprise to be out rebounded 46-31. We shot poorly from the free throw line, missing a lot of the front end shots. Also poorly on 3's (8 of 23). Poorly played game, poorly officiated both directions,

I loved watching and listening to their students. Sure wish we could get that.

Why can we never have a guy have a game like Ashworth? It seems like we allow one guy to kill us every game win or lose. I still think Wardle’s substitution patterns are detrimental. If a guy screws up, wait for a dead ball, bring him to the sideline, chew his ass, then let him work through it. The pull to the bench coachable moments never seem to work. Same mistakes happen whether it’s a double team in the post and the help side never arrives or an overplay on the perimeter leads to an extra pass 3. In the wrong spot in the set. Happens continuously. I still love him though. But darn it. Refs were horrible at best. HS regional level. Boy, do we miss Reink. Henry needs help on the boards and why can’t we find a shooter? Tuesday is going to be rough. Emoji Bates is going to score 50 and we will see a lot of Linke in the game due to foul trouble

Reminds me of last year's team where we struggled so much to put the ball in the basket and Terry would need to take over. Now that we don't have Terry, who is going to step up when we can't score this year?

It's early and I know BW teams typically don't start out well, but it's really difficult to take any positives from this game. That being said, we won the MVC tournament in 2018-19 season where we lost our first 5 conference games and also lost to Eastern Illinois, so I'm not giving up on this team yet, but man do they need a lot of work.

On a side note, Jashon looked as bad as Ive ever seen him look and as a 5th year senior, we really need him to play much better than he did.
