Speaking of past recruits he lost, that Sheldon Edwards guy was a stud. Never gave the ball up an freakishly athletic. I think he ended up with Loyola, which was really disappointing.Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Logan Imes, who had signed with Penn State, could follow Micah Shrewsberry to Notre Dame after coaching change.
Zane Doughty is a 6'9" forward at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. He committed last July, and signed a NLI last November. But it is likley that Valpo will give him a release. At the time he committed last year, he was considered a bit of a "raw prospect", but he went on to have a terrific senior season and helped lead Ben Davis to a perfect 33-0 record and a 4A State Championship. He scored a game high 20 points and was the star of the game in their championship win over Kokomo HS, which was lead by former Bradley recruit Flory Bidunga, and 6'11" Michigan State commit Xavier Booker. Bidunga is now ranked as a 5-star recruit, and some websites rank him as the #1 overall recruit in the 2024 class. Xavier Booker.
Doughty played with Indiana Elite in the summer of 2021, and with Indy Heat in 2022.
And the other player mentioned in the top article was a former Bradley recruit Logan Imes of Zionsville HS in Indiana. He committed to Penn State when Micah Shrewsberry was the head coach. But now Shrewsberry left Penn State and took the Notre Dame job. It's possible that if Imes gets his release, he could swtich his commitment to Notre Dame or open his recruitment to other offers.
Could Bradley be interested in either of these two?

He had 3 good seasons and NCAA bids in 2004-05, 2005-06, and 2006-07 mainly with very good players he inherited from Weber and Painter. But then his fortunes changed. He never managed to recruit enough talent after the Weber/Painter players left, he ended up with 4 losing seasons in a row, and his coaching came under fire by fans. In his final 4 seasons, he averaged 19 losses per season. He was replaced by Barry Hinson in 2012, and they have never won any conference or tournament titles, nor gotten back to the NCAA in the 16 seasons since 2007.

Many Valpo fans were hoping for Roger Powell, former Illinois star, and current assistant at Gonzaga. Powell's first coaching job was as an assistant coach at Valparaiso from 2011-2016 under Bryce Drew. He moved to Vanderbilt when they hire Drew away, and was his Associate Head Coach from 2016-19, then when Drew was fired by Vanderbilt, Powell was hired by Mark Few as an assistant.
Other names mentioned as possible finalists are De Andre Haynes, assistant coach at Marquette, JR Blount, assistant coach at Iowa State and former Loyola player, and Brad Korn, head coach at SEMO, and also a former assistant and player under Bruce Weber.
