Add Austin Peay to the list of open coaching jobs. Today they fired 2nd year head coach Nate James. He took over a program with 4 straight winning season, and had records of 12-17 in 2021-22, and 9-22 this season.

After they were eliminated from the ACC Tournament yesterday, Syracuse announced the retirement of long time head coach Jim Boeheim after 47 seasons as their head coach. He is 78 years old.
Though he hasn't had as much success since Syracuse moved to the ACC in 2013, Boeheim lead Syracuse to 10 Big East Conference regular season championships, five Big East tournament championships, 34 NCAA tournament appearances, 5 Final Four appearances, 3 appearances in the national title game, and one National Championship in 2003 (with Carmelo Anthony). He has already been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and the College Basketball Hall of Fame.

Georgia Tech fires Josh Pastner, and University of South Florida fires Brian Gregory.
Strange story regarding one of the Illinois State assistant coaches. Assistant Coach Walter Offutt was granted paternity leave last October, right before the season. The paternity leave ended in January, but he never did return to the team. Now 5 months later, his name has quietly been removed from the team's website. Head Coach Ryan Pedon is not commenting.

Buffalo fires head coach Jim Whitesell. Whitesell was the head coach at Loyola (before they hired Porter Moser).
He took over a 32-win team from Nate Oats, and the program went downhill to a 15-17 record this season..
