    • Yeah would make no sense for him to leave voluntarily imo.

      • Justin Gray, who led Western Carolina to consecutive winning seasons for the first time in 13 years, is the new men's basketball coach at Coastal Carolina.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

        • Kenny Payne has been fired as Louisville men's basketball coach, with the school's athletic director saying a change was needed after the Cardinals went 12-52 over the past two seasons.

          • This is the least surprising firing I've seen yet. They have been unbelievably awful under Kenny Payne.

            • Travis Ford out at St. Louis - https://twitter.com/GoodmanHoops/sta...92367582580949
St. Louis went 13-20 this season, but the previous 5 seasons, they were very good.
They won 20+ games in 4 of the previous 5 seasons, and the one they didn't win 20 was the Covid year when they went 14-7.
              St. Louis' Record- https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb...int-louis/men/

One bad year and they show him the door. Ford has had a reputation of being very difficult to get along with his superiors and boosters.
Josh Schertz is being rumored to be a candidate - https://twitter.com/trillydonovan/st...93217977741647

Here is a coaching change tracker posted a few hours ago, and it is already outdated. The number of open jobs now is approaching 30 - https://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...ssful-seasons/

If Schertz gets a bigger job, it truly is impressive BW has been here as long as he has.

                  Something about the name 'Ford'.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Maybe other schools don't like what they see in BW's style, which, if true, is quite surprising, even shocking, or maybe BW has been approached and he didn't like what he saw. Maybe he's just satisfied at BU.

True, but there haven't been a ton of rumors. Although the style angle I hadn't contemplated.

If coach had a son that was as good as DeVries he would be recruited at a lot of BCS type schools. Coach has done a great job at Bradley and our team plays by far the best defense in the Valley. I think with all the coaching firings this season there might be a chance that he leaves for a bigger job if he and his family are willing to relocate. I know he makes really good money here yet bigger schools pay a lot more money. I hope the players that can return along with him stay at Bradley and bring us more championships.

kinda surprising but then, not really, that Oklahoma fans and their media are grumbling about Moser in just his 2nd season there.
Fan bases can sure be fickle. Recall that ISU fired the guy after 4 yrs right after he had landed Osiris Eldridge, Anthony Slack and the core of 3 consecutive 25-win teams, only to go on to prove how bad a mistake that was & make it to the Final Four with his next mid-major job.

And check Fred Hoiberg- last year, after 4 struggling seasons at a place like Nebraska that hadn't been to the NCAA in a decade,
and only once in 25 years- and had NEVER, ever won an NCAA Tourney game in all of history - seemed everyone and their brother wanted to fire the guy.
But he begged and pleaded and they allowed him one more year - and guess what -
He's the BIG TEN COACH OF THE YEAR

                            • Fred should send a thank you to Wardle. Rienk is 2nd leading scorer, leading rebounder and leading assists. Obviously Rienk did the work to get that good but the staff was certainly a big part of it.

                              • Definitely a good move if they can get him.
