Make predictions about how some of the top transfers out of the MVC will do this coming season with their new teams-
A.J. Green- I'll start with the 2022 MVC Player of the Year- UNI's A.J. Green is currently listed as one of 20 players on the roster of the MIlwaukee Bucks, and not on the roster of the Wisconsin Herd, the Bucks' G-League team. But he was signed to a 2-way contract, and only 15 players can be kept on the Bucks NBA roster. That makes it most likely he'll start in the G-League. I'll predict he will come off the bench initially for the Wisconsin Herd, and get plenty of playing time if he stays healthy. And I'll predict he will average 8-9 points per game, and shoot around 35% from three. He could get a chance to play with the Bucks at some time during the season, but he'll probably have to prove he can defend well.
Terry Roberts- One of Bradley's two transfers, and the 2022 MVC Newcomer of the Year, will play at Georgia. Hell play for a rebuilding Georgia team that finished last in the SEC, fired Tom Crean, and hired Mike White. Georgia has 9 transfers from other D1 schools, including Roberts. And they have 9 guards on the roster, though Terry might be among the most experienced and skilled. I'll guess he will average 24 minutes per game and 11-12 ppg. I'm guessing he will not score as easily against better opposition as he did at Bradley, but I could be wrong.
Isiaih Mosley- the runner up to A.J. Green for Player of the Year, and the third 1st team All MVC player last year to transfer. I think he could get 28 minutes a game at Missouri, as they desperately need scorers. They averaged only 65.5 ppg last season, which ranked dead last in the SEC by a mile, and 309th in Division I. Their top 2 scorers from last year averaged just 12 and 11 ppg, and only one of them returns this season. And they shot only 28.1% from three as a team, worst in the SEC and 355th in Division I (out of 358 ). Mosley was the MVC's leading scorer (20.4 ppg) and leading 3-point shooter (42.7%), so he should get a lot of playing time. Wanting to prove he is NBA caliber, I predict he will put up a lot of shots, and average 18-20 ppg.
Noah Carter- UNI lost their 2nd leading scorer, the the MVC's 6th leading scorer (15.0 ppg). He is also now at Missouri, but because he plays a similar position as Mosley, but is not as good a shooter (only 29.9% from three), I predict he will come off the bench initially, something he probably won't be happy with. But he is capable of scoring in streaks, and is a tough matchup problem because of his size, so he could do OK. I'll guess 8-10 ppg.
Jayson Kent- Bradley's other transfer. I included Jayson, even though he averaged just 6.9 ppg and 26.4% from three. I think he'll get more playing time, and maybe some starts and average 8-9 ppg for Indiana State. I wish him good luck.
Antonio Reeves- The MVC's 2nd leading scorer (20.1 ppg) is now at Kentucky. Kentucky is deep and talented, and they have 3-point shooters (they were 2nd in the SEC in team 3pt%), but I think Reeves will get significant playing time and could be a starter. I'll guess 12-13 ppg.
Tyreke Key- Former 1st team All-MVC guard from Indiana State is playing his final season at Tennessee. He's coming off a serious shoulder injury and surgery, but should be well healed. Tennessee is another talented and deep SEC team with several returning scorers. I think Key will play off the bench and average 9-10 ppg. I hope he does better than that.
