Btw, I notice that Suliaman Agiste was the only one with a mask. Maybe this is related to his absence from the summer workout photos?

That is one of the reasons why the Universities themselves are not directly involved in parsing out these NIL deals. Private NIL collectives and donors would not be subject to the Title IX rules.
However, the closer that schools affiliate with and support their NIL organizations, or help coordinate payments to players, I wonder if there could be lawsuits eventually. But they will likely come from the individual student-athletes, and not the teams.

Here are some articles about the latest NIL deals. Some are extremely lucrative, including one reported to be for $9.5 million to a Miami freshman who had never played a college game yet.-

I think the schools are pretty well protected, as long as the schools are not directly connected to the NIL brokers, or offer any rewards to fans who participate in NIL's. The NIL deals come from outside individuals and businesses, and the brokers like HOTBrave. Title IX does not apply to them.
However, I wouldn't be surprised to eventually see some lawsuits come from women's athletes, or from athletes in the non-revenue sports who feel left out. Or we could see the goverment getting involved for some perceived unfairness in the distribution of NIL money.

Any word on BU athletes being sponsored financially by business entities in the community? Looking at Valpo's NIL information, they have individual athletes being financially sponsored outside of jerseys and autographs, etc.

I haven't heard of any other specific NIL deals yet. But I have heard there are other business and private entities inquiring about it..
The Home of the Brave "Frequently Asked Questions" page has one question about other NILs, and their answer is, "Home of the Brave can facilitate these types of opportunities. Please contact info@hotbrave.com for more information."
So apparently, the HOTB is willing to help get other outside NIL deals for athletes.
Home of the Brave is a member-driven organization that provides exclusive benefits to its members, connecting them to Bradley Men’s Basketball student-athletes through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

Good to know. I would think that car dealerships, insurance agencies, restaurants etc would be interested

From what I heard at the signing night... every player (except not sure on Mast & Leons, because they were paid to play internationally this summer) received some money... even the walk-ons. Don't know the amounts, or where those funds came from. Additionally, at the Braves golf outing every player was at a hole & collected donations... my understanding is there will be additional events like the golf outing during the year (outside of business marketing opportunities).

Yes, they handed out checks. Every US player and Ja'Shon got a check. I'm not sure about the 4 non-US citizens, who are here on student visas (Mast, Leons, Ekono, and Tahvanainen). They have to be paid differently to avoid visa issues. The government only allows them to be paid for work done on campus. So in the pictures of them signing (see links above in posts #16 & #17 in this thread), you will notice the US players signing 2-page contracts, while the other international players are seen signing hats, or in Ville's case, a different single page form.
From what I understand, those foreign guys are able to get paid for signing items and memorabilia, and for work done on campus, but they won't be able to be paid for endorsements or appearances done off-campus, and are not allowed to sign contracts with NIL groups like HOTB.
The funds distributed so far have come mostly from the buy-in money of the 50 members of the Home of the Brave, and from other donations.

A simple thing all Bradley fans can do is follow the guys on their social media accounts. The more followers they have, the more monetizing opportunities they will have.

You can find a list on our site:

Click on the “meet” link under each player.

Thanks. I'd encourage everyone to take a few minutes and click to follow all the guys on Twitter or Instagram.
One question- anyone know why the "Meet" link to Darius Hannah's page doesn't work?
